About

Who are we?

Hey there, we're so glad you're here!

Welcome to myFSPal! We're the duo behind the scenes—a Foreign Service couple who, just like you, are navigating this wonderfully wild adventure with a sense of humor, a whole lot of love, and a few essential tools.

So, who are we, really?

We’re the couple that believes home is wherever our family (and WhatsApp) is. We’re fueled by a steady stream of cold brew coffee (for him) and the crunch of Chips Ahoy and Oreos (for me, because balance!). When we touch down in a new country, our first mission is to make our house feel like ours. That means breaking out the paint for a splash of color, getting our favorite family photos up on the walls right away, and finding a few green plants to breathe life into our new space.

When we’re not deep in the world of bidding, packing, or deciphering acronyms, you can find him behind a camera lens, capturing the beauty of our ever-changing world. I’m usually plugged into an audiobook, squeezing in a workout, and trying to keep our little one from "reorganizing" the pantry.

Our "Why" for Creating myFSPal

We've been there. Staring at a mountain of guides and cables, scrolling through endless Trailing Houses posts for a simple answer, and feeling like we were reinventing the wheel with every new challenge. We saw the same questions popping up again and again among our friends and in online groups.

Our "aha!" moment came when we were navigating a MEDEVAC for the birth of our child and then immediately transitioning to a new post with a newborn in tow. It was… a lot. But through it all, our trusty spreadsheets and checklists became our lifeline. We realized we could turn our personal "survival guides" into something more—helpful tools and clear, friendly information that could make someone else's journey just a little bit easier.

That’s what myFSpal is all about. It’s a place to consolidate the best of what we’ve learned, from product recommendations for globe-trotting families to real-world explanations of policies that can feel a little abstract.

Our hope is that whether you're here for a calculator or a blog post, you’ll leave feeling more prepared, a little less stressed, and reminded that you’ve got a friend on this journey. Because at the end of the day, we’re all in this together.

Thanks for stopping by! We can't wait to share this adventure with you.
